Job summary

Worldpay seeks a Cyber Security Engineer II to own product security for the security of Worldpay’s software products. You will work with engineering teams to explain vulnerabilities and drive remediation, implementing security controls across the lifecycle.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of cyber security experience, and hands-on work with Java or .NET. This is a hybrid role with three days on-site in specified US offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of cyber security experience.
• Experience in product security.
• Software security and software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java and/or .NET.
• Experience using DAST, SAST and SCA tools and services.
• Experience securing APIs, web apps, APIs, and WAF protection.
• Experience conducting Threat Modeling using STRIDE or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Explain detected vulnerabilities in software and recommend remediation options.
• Promote security controls across the lifecycle from development to production.
• Create reference implementations for security patterns (e.g., authentication, encryption).
• Communicate security concerns and design options to business partners.
