$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote but must be located in NC ideally between Greensboro and Charlotte, willing to commute to the hubs: Charlotte, Greensboro, Roanoke
Schedule/Travel: Travel 4 days a week, 1 day remote (can include overnight which is expensed) - $1000 monthly stipend for travel. Travel is all of NC and SW VA: hubs are Charlotte, Greensboro, Roanoke
Hours/Lunch: Flexible w/ 4 days of travel
Pay: 50-60k + commission based on % of sales (80-100k potential OTE)
Bonus? Up to 10k annual bonus based on company performance + $100 monthly bonus for 10% in each market
Team: Work with a team of 10-12 local sales reps
Must Have:
Year(s) of Experience: 3+ years of building supply outside sales exp.
Software: CRM system + good working knowledge of Excel/Outlook
Responsible for sales management of the surfaces product line for our organization in NC & SW VA. Subject Matter Expert for surfaces product line and assist local sales reps with selling the product line to clients: showrooms, cabinet shops, fabricators, homebuilders etc.

Position Summary:
The purpose of the Surface Specialist role is to focus on a narrow range of products within the Decorative Surfaces category to produce aggressive sales results. The Decorative Surfaces product range includes items used for Countertops, Sinks, HPL, TFL (design matching program), Thinscape, Wetwall, and other decorative surface items with significant growth opportunities. The Surface Specialist is tasked with achieving/exceeding company KPI sales metrics. This role involves field visits to fabrication shops, kitchen & bath cabinetry companies, and home builders/remodelers to educate, support, and sell surface products. The specialist will develop sales growth by working closely with the sales team, developing target customers, conducting field travel, building customer relationships, and establishing customer programs. Complete knowledge of the various surface product lines offered is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Achieve KPI metrics within the Surface product category:
o New buying customers
o Sales & margin growth targets
· Provide product category leadership:
o Collaborate with Sales Teams, Regional Sales Managers, and suppliers
o Act as a resource for teammates
o Develop and maintain sales strategies for target products and accounts
o Communicate programs, pricing, product launches, etc.
o Serve as the “Resident expert” for all decorative surfacing products (HPL, Quartz, Solid Surface, Sinks, etc.)
· Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and customers
· Interact with internal and external customers to maximize results, including conducting presentations
· Network to align fabricators and dealers/specifiers to capture sales
· Follow up promptly on leads and prospects
· Maintain CRM: call scheduling, activity, sample/collateral management, team communication
· Monitor and replenish on-site sample inventory
· Collaborate across departments to drive growth objectives
· Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience:
