Job description

Our General ThermoDynamics and Airtech business is growing, and the Product Sales Manager will be an integral part of taking API Heat Transfer to a whole new level!


This critical role will grow the air-cooled business at new and existing strategic accounts in a wide range of market segments in North America. The Product Sales Manager will also ensure successful relationships with internal team members by serving as the liaison between the customer and API engineering, customer service, operations, and quality. The primary focus will be on developing new air-cooled opportunities for both aluminum and copper brass heat exchangers. The primary product focus is on radiators, charge-air coolers, oil coolers, aftercoolers, condensers, and complete cooling modules.

Sales Manager Responsibilities Include:



  • Develop and execute business strategy to grow with current and new original equipment (OE) and aftermarket accounts.

  • Promote strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers both internally and externally.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with customer and API engineering to develop new cooling system solutions for customer platforms.

  • Prepare and submit new customer cooling module quotes by working with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.

  • Assemble and communicate a rolling 12-month Order Forecast for your responsible customers.

  • Deliver market intelligence to the API team, identifying product gaps, general economic market conditions, as well as monitoring the competition's pricing, products, delivery issues, branding efforts, and other relevant factors.

  • Keep the necessary details up to date in Salesforce CRM

  • Build and nurture professional networks, attend market events, trade shows, and participate in professional industry organizations.


The best candidates will possess these qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of integrated industrial supply management experience working with engineering and product design

  • Proven track record of profitable sales growth at strong gross margins!

  • At least 5 years of experience in the heat transfer industry.

  • Strong technical understanding of engine cooling and thermal management applications and/or the principles of heat transfer.

  • Hunter mentality, working to generate new business opportunities.

  • Superb communication, client relationship management, negotiation, and sales capabilities are a must!

  • Domestic travel is a part of this role, so those who can commit to approximately 50% are highly desired
