Job summary

Webasto Group is seeking a Product Safety & Conformity Engineer (Quality Engineer) to lead product safety incidents from investigation through resolution and to drive regulatory and internal quality compliance across our Lexington operations.

The role partners with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to identify risks, implement preventive actions, and analyze warranty and field data to improve safety and Quality performance. Excellent cross-functional communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product safety or quality engineering.
  • Experience coordinating audits and recalls.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate product safety incidents from investigation through resolution.
  • Monitor and drive compliance with product safety and regulatory requirements across products, processes, and manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct and support internal audits, process audits, product audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement preventive actions.
  • Analyze customer complaints, warranty data, field issues, and safety-related trends to identify emerging risks and drive improvements.
  • Support recall and product safety management activities by coordinating investigations and facilitating communications.
  • Develop and maintain product safety and quality documentation, including risk assessments and corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to teams on quality processes and risk mitigation.

  • Lead and coordinate product safety incidents from investigation through resolution, ensuring timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor, assess, and drive compliance with product safety, regulatory, and internal quality requirements across products, processes, and manufacturing operations
  • Conduct and support internal audits, process audits, product audits, and compliance assessments to verify adherence to established standards, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement preventive actions that improve product safety and quality performance
  • Analyze customer complaints, warranty data, field issues, and safety-related trends to identify emerging risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support recall and product safety management activities by coordinating investigations, preparing technical documentation, and facilitating communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain product safety and quality documentation, including risk assessments, corrective action reports, audit findings, and lessons learned
  • Provide guidance and training to teams on quality processes, compliance requirements, risk mitigation, and product safety best practices
