Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Consultant or Assistant Director for the Coverage A Product Design and Development team. You will drive data-informed decisions to optimize Coverage A determination and update the quoting experience for dwelling coverage across channels.

You’ll partner with Risk Analytics, State Management, Distribution, Technology and Policy & Production Support to design, test and implement improvements, mentoring analysts and presenting findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, typically 6 years.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
• Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop subject-matter expertise in property and specialty Replacement Cost Estimate and Coverage A product features.
• Conduct complex analyses under general direction — independently querying data, building tools for team use, and performing technical and analytical assessments of product features and key performance metrics.
• Lead and project-manage initiatives with manager guidance, partnering with Risk Analytics, State Management, Distribution, Technology, Policy & Production Support, and other cross-functional teams to design and implement changes.
• Synthesize research and analysis into insights and actionable recommendations that shape product design and strategy.
• Regularly present insights and recommendations to Product and Distribution leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Gather external research — including competitive intelligence and insights from vendors, market research teams, and other functional areas.
• Serve as a resource for less-experienced analysts and mentor interns or rotational analysts as needed.
