Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Consultant/Assistant Director for the Coverage A Product Design and Development team. The role focuses on improving Coverage A determination and experience through research and analytics, influencing product design and market go-to-market strategy.

The position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location, with opportunities to partner across Risk Analytics, State Management, Distribution, Technology, and Policy & Production Support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with minimum 4 years of relevant work experience (6 years typical).
• Master's degree beneficial.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop subject-matter expertise in property and specialty Replacement Cost Estimate and Coverage A product features.
• Conduct complex analyses under general direction—query data, build tools for team use, assess product features and KPIs.
• Lead and project-manage initiatives with manager guidance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement changes.
• Synthesize research into insights and actionable recommendations that shape product design and strategy.
• Regularly present insights and recommendations to Product and Distribution leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Gather external research including competitive intelligence and insights from vendors and market research.
• Mentor interns or rotational analysts as needed.
