Job summary

MacLean Power Systems in Alabama is seeking a Product Reliability Manager to lead reliability strategy, develop testing programs, and drive design-for-reliability improvements across switchgear products. You will design and operate test rigs, perform root-cause analyses, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure product robustness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical/Reliability Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, with hands-on testing and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Reliability Engineering.
• 3+ years in product reliability, testing, or design validation.
• Experience with switchgear, breakers, relays, or power distribution equipment.
• Design and operate reliability test rigs and fixtures.
• Proficient in data acquisition, environmental chambers, and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability strategy and set targets for switchgear products.
• Design test programs for components and assemblies.
• Develop test procedures, pass/fail criteria, and calibration.
• Lead root-cause analysis of failures and validate fixes.
• Collaborate with design, validation, and manufacturing to apply DfR/DfM.
• Maintain reliability documentation and sign-off evidence.
• Support new product introduction with reliability verification.
