Job summary

MacLean Power Systems, a leading provider of critical electrical infrastructure, seeks a Product Reliability Manager to enhance the reliability, durability, and performance of Royal Switchgear products. The role focuses on reliability strategy, FMEA, and test program development.

You will work closely with design engineering and manufacturing to drive design-for-reliability improvements and ensure robust validation before product sign-off. On-site in Bessemer, AL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Reliability Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in product reliability, test engineering, or design validation—preferably with switchgear.
• Experience designing test apparatus, fixtures, and reliability test rigs.
• Strong knowledge of reliability methods (FMEA, RCM, Weibull).

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability strategy and set MTBF/MTTR targets for switchgear products.
• Design and qualify test programs (HALT/HASS, life tests, vibration, thermal cycling).
• Develop fixtures, data acquisition, and test procedures with clear pass/fail criteria.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement design changes with verification.
• Collaborate with design, validation, and manufacturing to enable DfR/DfM.
