Job summary

Wellfleet, part of the MedPro Group family, seeks a Product & Regulatory Filing Analyst to own multi-state regulatory filings for Accident & Health products, from draft to state approvals. You will work with internal teams and regulators to resolve questions and ensure timely, accurate approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and 3+ years of experience in the Accident & Health insurance industry.
  • Experience managing insurance regulatory filings, including rate and form filings, product development or compliance work, SERFF navigation, filing submission, and responses to objections or reviewer notes.
  • Working knowledge of state insurance laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple products, filings, and regulatory deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively explain regulatory and compliance concepts to internal team members, cross-function teams and state insurance department reviewers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, with minimal supervisory direction.
  • Ability to adapt and pivot when presented with new information or circumstances.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with business areas at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and maintain product materials, including policies, certificates, schedules of benefits, applications, riders, endorsements, and related forms for Student Health Insurance and other Accident & Health products
  • Prepare, submit, monitor, and manage multi-state filings through SERFF and state-specific filing systems from submission through approval
  • Research and analyze state regulatory requirements and determine necessary product and form revisions
  • Develop clear, regulator-ready responses to objections and work directly with state insurance department reviewers to resolve questions and support timely approvals
  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve filing questions, align product materials, and support compliant approvals
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess impacts to existing products and future filings
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Product & Regulatory Filing Analyst helps bring Accident & Health products to market by owning regulatory filings from draft through state approval across multiple jurisdictions. This role oversees filings through completion, solving regulatory questions, and collaborating with internal teams and state insurance department reviewers to support timely, accurate, and compliant approvals.

In this role, you will…

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Student Health Insurance or a diverse portfolio of Accident & Health products, including an understanding of the student health audience and comparable product lines
  • 2+ years of regulatory filing experience in a healthcare, Accident & Health, or insurance product setting
  • Experience using Florida iFile.

The annual gross base salary range is $70,000 to $95,000. This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies. Salary is one component of Wellfleet’s total compensation and benefits package, which includes medical, vision and dental insurance options, life and accident insurance, 401(k), and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
