Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Quality/Reliability Engineer to develop and apply standards, design inspection methods, and gather test data in support of customer expectations in the semiconductor equipment space.

You will document testing, propose methodologies, and collaborate with suppliers and engineers to enable test plans, driving world-class quality while contributing to our growth in a leading global company.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, applies, revises, maintains and tests quality/reliability standards to align with customer expectations.
  • Designs and implements methods for inspecting, testing and evaluating quality/reliability of products.
  • Develops, implements quality/reliability test plans and performs failure analysis.
  • Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results.
  • Prepares documentation for testing.
  • Develops methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals.
  • Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies to ensure world class quality standards are attainable.
  • Performs FMECA, documents CRAMS and works with supplier and engineer to enable CRAMS test plan.
  • Also perform PQP at supplier.
  • Functional Knowledge demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
  • Business Expertise understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Leadership no supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.
  • Problem Solving solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.
  • Impact impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
  • Interpersonal Skills explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
