Job summary

Brose Jefferson, Inc in Warren, MI is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems in a high-volume production environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, interact with SAP-PM, and collaborate with machine operators to ensure equipment reliability.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, and familiarity with ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA.

Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA requirements desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems in a high-volume production setting.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and interact with SAP-PM; work with machine operators.
  • Handle interior building maintenance and surrounding areas as needed.
  • Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, and test adjustments.
  • Follow safety regulations; maintain clean, orderly work areas.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and shift handover meetings.

Job description

  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a high volume production environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, interact with a computerized maintenance management system, and work closely with machine operators.
  • Additionally, responsible for interior building maintenance items and building surrounding aspects.
  • Performs small tasks, determines the need for external services and verifies quality of work.
  • Operate within the confines of industry accepted standards such as ISO14001 and TS14969. Responsible ensuring and maintaining environmental goals and objectives.
  • Comply with safety regulations; maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Booked all maintenance activities in SAP-PM, check out spare part used and report any spare part shortage to proper supervision.
  • Participate on the daily shift PFM level 1 meeting and address any maintenance issue.
  • Participate in shift handover meeting with team member to highlight any maintenance concern for the shift.
  • Participate in continuous improvement workshops and submit at least 2 ideas per year in the plant idea suggestion system.
  • Other duties assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
  • Participation and implementation of Fire Safety

Your Profile
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Over 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA requirements desirable.
