Job description

Ready to shape strategy, drive alignment, and make a measurable impact?

Join Kumho Tire USA as a Product Portfolio Manager and take ownership of how our product line wins across North America.

About Kumho Tire US

Kumho Tire is a globally recognized tire brand with a strong and growing presence across the U.S. market. Headquartered in Atlanta, we serve consumers, dealers, and fleet customers nationwide with high-quality products and a commitment to innovation and performance. As we continue to expand, we are looking for driven professionals to help shape our next phase of growth.

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Portfolio Manager to help define how Kumho Tire wins in North America. This is a strategy-and-influence role, not a day-to-day execution role: you'll turn market, customer, competitive, and pricing intelligence into clear direction for our product line, then rally Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, and Technical Services around a shared plan. You won't manage those teams directly, you'll be the person who tells them where to focus and makes the case for why.

What You'll Do

  • Shape market and segment strategy. Define target markets and priority segments for each product line (PCR, SUV/CUV, LT, Replacement, Value/Mainstream/Premium), and recommend where to grow, defend, invest, or pull back.
  • Drive portfolio direction. Diagnose gaps, overlaps, and opportunities across the product lineup, and shape recommendations on new product introductions, transitions, and SKU rationalization, feeding North American customer and competitive insight back to Global Product Management and R&D.
  • Own market intelligence. Track competitive activity, market price ranges, promotions, and customer trends; analyze pricing patterns by product line and propose recommended price ranges by item as input to our Pricing team (final pricing decisions sit with Pricing, not this role).
  • Guide go-to-market strategy. Translate market and customer insight into a Go-to-Market Brief that gives Marketing what it needs for positioning, messaging, and campaign planning.
  • Enable Sales to win on value. Build segment-specific playbooks, battlecards, and account-level insight so Sales can sell on business value, not just specs.
  • Guide promotion strategy. Define clear objectives for promotions and evaluate their effectiveness (ROI, incremental margin, conversion) together with Operations.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment. Chair a monthly Commercial Strategy Council with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Technical Services to keep priorities and action plans aligned.

What You'll Bring

  • 5-7 years of experience in product marketing, category/portfolio management, or commercial strategy, ideally in the tire, automotive aftermarket, or another B2B dealer/distributor-driven industry.
  • A track record of turning market and customer data into a clear point of view and getting cross-functional teams to act on it without having direct authority over them.
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills, with comfort presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Experience working alongside Pricing, Sales Operations, or Purchasing functions is a plus.
