Job summary

Doc’s Diesel, located in Bryan, Ohio, is seeking a Part-Time Contract Photographer for our on-site Creative Team. The role focuses on clean, consistent product imagery for website, packaging, and advertising, with emphasis on silhouettes, studio lighting, and post-production.

You’ll work ~20 hours per week, collaborating with Marketing to fulfill briefs, maintain catalog consistency, and support potential video projects based on experience. Previous portfolio of product photography required.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of professional photography experience.
• Strong product and/or studio photography skills.
• Strong understanding of lighting, composition, exposure, and color.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including image cleanup, retouching, masking, and color correction.
• Ability to understand creative direction and execute requests accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple products or assignments efficiently.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working within an in-house Creative Team.
• Portfolio must include examples of product photography or commercial product work.

Responsibilities

• Photograph clean, consistent product silhouettes and studio product imagery
• Set up and adjust studio lighting, backgrounds, camera equipment, and products
• Edit, retouch, color-correct, and prepare final images in Adobe Photoshop
• Maintain visual consistency across a large and growing catalog of products
• Work from creative briefs and accurately execute specific photography requests
• Collaborate with the Creative Team and other members of Marketing
• Organize and prepare final photography assets for use across web, packaging, paid media, social, and other marketing channels
• Assist with product styling and staging when needed
• Support additional photography needs as they arise
• Potentially assist with video capture and other creative projects based on experience
