Job summary

The City of New York Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) seeks a Systems Analyst/Product Owner for the Data & Reporting team to drive business process analysis. You will gather requirements, model processes, and define product backlog items, ensuring cohesive solutions for business and technical stakeholders.

Reporting and monitoring improvements, prototypes, user acceptance testing, and liaison with the product team and end users will be key.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science with at least 3 years' IT experience including applications development and data processing.
• Or a 4-year degree with 4+ years' relevant IT experience as described above.
• Alternative: 4-year high school diploma and 6+ years' relevant IT experience with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply business analysis methodologies to gather requirements and create process models.
• Develop prototypes of interfaces based on user requirements and write clear specifications.
• Manage and track requirements through the project lifecycle and maintain the product backlog.
• Define the product vision and prioritize backlog items to deliver value to stakeholders.
