Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

This key position works with stakeholders to validate, define, and document technical business requirements for the proprietary logistics platform that interacts with third party software systems and solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Understand and become the subject matter expert for our key applications.

• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development

• Act as an advocate for stakeholder needs

• Develops business process workflows / designs in conjunction with stakeholders.

• Analyze, clarify, and validate business needs

• Develop screen mock-ups and prototypes to ensure business understanding of any user interface changes.

• Craft detailed technical user stories based on product requirements

• Define acceptance criteria and test user stories to ensure quality

• Provides real-time business application support for production issues

• This position requires a schedule accommodating core business hour as well as some overtime work to meet deadlines and to trouble-shoot and coordinate solutions across teams.

• As a member of a team supporting a mission critical application, availability to respond on demand during off office hours is critical.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

• Ability to clearly communicate and present proposed technical solutions to technical and business audiences.

• Strong desire to learn new applications at a detailed level and apply their expertise to meet business needs

• Ability to work well in a matrix / cross functional environment.

• Possess ability to handle high levels of responsibility, self-directed, and the ability to work independently and efficiently under aggressive deadlines to meet project commitments.

• Experience with business process definition, systems implementation, and support.

• Possess a high degree of creative ability, analytical and technical skills and independent judgment.

• Strong ability to work as a team member on complex projects, effectively interacting with technical and non-technical personnel within and across departments.

Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participate in multiple concurrent projects.

• Experience working with integrations between application systems and third-party software with knowledge of API and EDI as well as formats such as XML, x12, json or other file formats.

• Experience working on UI/UX designs to maximize usability

• Understanding of database schemas and ability to perform scripts to extract information for testing and troubleshooting. Desired experience with MySQL.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile software environment.

• Experience in the logistics industry is extremely helpful.

• Jira experience is preferred

• Agile certification is preferred
