Job summary

Reflect Health, a healthcare administration company in Mason, Ohio, seeks a Product Owner to manage data integration and reporting capabilities, aligning client needs with technical solutions. You will lead EDI workflow improvements and reporting enhancements for healthcare transactions.

The ideal candidate has experience in technical delivery, Agile environments, and strong communication skills, with availability for 9-5 ET client calls and ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Background: Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on technical delivery and client engagement.
• Data Knowledge: Strong understanding of EDI transactions (834, 837, 835) and related healthcare data exchange processes.
• Technical & Reporting: Ability to design and deliver custom reporting solutions with data teams.
• Industry Expertise: Familiarity with Cigna-specific data workflows and healthcare claims/eligibility processes.
• Agile Practices: Comfortable operating in Agile environments with Jira and Confluence.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Data Handling: Ability to meet client contractual and BAAs governing PHI processing locations.
• Availability: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET for client calls and ceremonies.

The Product Owner is responsible for managing and enhancing our healthcare data integration and reporting capabilities. This position serves as a critical link between clients, vendors, and internal technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and translated into effective solutions. They will lead initiatives focused on optimizing EDI workflows, custom reporting outputs, and technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Develop and communicate clear, actionable user stories and product requirements that align with healthcare and regulatory data standards.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to understand integration and reporting needs, ensuring requirements are effectively captured and addressed.
• Operational Oversight: Manage key data exchange processes, including Cigna-specific technical flows, with accountability for monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancement.
• Strategic Delivery: Drive initiatives to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of EDI workflows and reporting solutions, particularly for healthcare transactions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, data, and operational teams to ensure seamless delivery of technical solutions that support business goals.
• Agile Leadership: Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming, to maintain momentum on key initiatives and ensure transparency across stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and user experience based on feedback, metrics, and industry best practices.
• Communication & Reporting: Provide timely updates to leadership on project progress, risks, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

• Technical & Reporting: Proven ability to work with data teams to design and deliver custom reporting solutions based on complex business needs.
• Industry Expertise: Familiarity with Cigna-specific data workflows and healthcare claims/eligibility processes is a plus.
• Agile Practices: Comfortable operating in Agile environments with tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on translating complex technical topics into business-friendly language.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess root causes, propose solutions, and drive resolution.
• Data Handling: Ability to meet client contractual and Business Associate Agreement requirements governing access to protected health information, including approved processing locations.
• Availability: Consistent availability during 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET for client calls, Agile ceremonies, and escalations.

Compensation

• $100,000–$115,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
