Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking a Product Owner to lead the design, delivery, and enablement of an internal/external portal product (e.g., ASC). You will drive a consistent capabilities framework, influence stakeholders, and ensure operational excellence across the platform.

Reports to the VP, Head of Product Management and will focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, backlog prioritization, and delivering

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation) with a Get It Done mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Proactive, self-starter with a blend of technical knowledge and business acumen in insurance.
• Experience launching software or services with development teams; familiarity with Agile principles a plus.
• 3+ years in product management/product owner and/or development or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine best solution for capability enablement.
• Manage product vision, roadmap, and prioritize backlog to deliver value to stakeholders.
• Convert roadmap features into defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize needs based on stakeholder and development input; serve as primary product contact.
• Involve in planning, development, testing, and deployment stages of a product.
• Ensure consistent design and implementation methodology, including UX design considerations.
• Guide business on designs and solutions to enable insurance products with speed to market.
• Document business requirements and process workflows when needed.
