Job summary

PNC is seeking a Product Owner II to join the Data and Automation Ontology Services team. Based in multiple U.S. locations, you will bridge business needs with data and AI capabilities to improve data quality, governance, and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with business partners, data owners, and compliance teams to define requirements, refine prompts, and design AI workflows. The role emphasizes governance, reliability, and delivering trusted data outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data engineering, data management, analytics, or application development.
  • Experience supporting or developing Agentic AI, Generative AI, Copilot, or other LLM-based solutions.
  • Strong SQL, data analysis, and requirements gathering skills.
  • Experience identifying data quality issues and implementing process improvements.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, prompt engineering, and data governance concepts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data privacy, data classification, and data security.

As a Product Owner II, you will be working within the Data and Automation Ontology Services team. This role combines data management, business process improvement, and AI solution development to help drive data quality, governance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with business stakeholders, data owners, and compliance teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve processes and deliver trusted data outcomes. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.

Key Qualifications
  • Experience in data engineering, data management, analytics, or application development.

Job Description
  • Owns the vision and the definition of the product. Serves as the voice of the customer. Provides guidance to concentrate the Scrum Team(s) effort on correct priorities based on business value.
  • Defines and conveys the vision to the team(s) in order to address client requirements to meet business objectives.
  • Accountable for the creation of and the integrity of the product backlog. Prioritizes and leads grooming of the product backlog.
  • Works in partnership with the Scrum Master(s) to ensure items are worked on in accordance with the product backlog. Serves as the primary point of contact for questions from the team(s).
  • Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Teams(s). Reviews and validates Scrum Team(s) working product. Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to various stakeholders.
