Job summary

Vertafore, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Product Owner II to translate business needs into actionable user stories for our B2B SaaS teams.

You will manage and prioritize the product backlog, collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional partners to ensure delivery aligns with strategy and customer value. You will refine requirements, define acceptance criteria with QA, lead cross-functional discussions, and work with customers and market research to validate solutions.

• 2-4 years of professional experience supporting B2B SaaS products preferred.
• Previous experience serving as a Product Owner within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Background working as part of an Agile software development team.
• Demonstrated success collaborating within a cross-functional organization.
• Proven ability to support customer needs and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems and requirements into prioritized user stories for development teams.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to define and document user stories with the appropriate level of detail.
• Prioritize and sequence development work to align with product strategy, project goals, and delivery timelines.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to define and validate acceptance criteria.
• Research and respond to questions from Product Design, Development, and Quality Assurance teams.
• Collaborate directly with customers and conduct market research to clarify requirements and validate proposed solutions, as needed.
• Refine user stories to ensure development teams have the information needed for implementation.
• Partner with Product Management, Development, and User Experience teams to support scope definition and feature delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
