Job summary

Daimler Truck North America seeks a collaborative Product Owner to support complex engineering systems, focusing on PLATON and ESTR governance. You will manage backlogs, gather requirements, and ensure alignment with DTNA's engineering tools and processes.

The role requires knowledge of PDM/PLM, CAD familiarity, and the ability to create training materials. Hybrid work in Portland, with travel as needed and strong cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college and 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience defining, prioritizing, and maintaining backlogs for complex engineering or enterprise systems.
• Experience gathering requirements and collaborating with business stakeholders to define and deliver system improvements.
• Strong knowledge of product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and processes.
• Familiarity with CAD tools.
• Experience creating tip sheets, training materials, and other technical documentation.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Excellent writing, reporting, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing DTNA's backlog of current issues and future enhancement requests.
• Providing 2nd-level support for issues not resolved by 1st-level support/help desk teams.
• Testing future releases prior to deployment.
• ESTR involvement includes: facilitating regular planning committee meetings and quarterly executive reviews.
• Summarizing annual budget requests for high-priority initiatives.
