Job summary

Exacta Systems in Austin develops cutting-edge HHR technology for a nationwide gaming audience. The Product Owner will own the backlog, translate strategy into actionable work, and collaborate with leadership, engineering, QA, and operations to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work to ensure the backlog reflects regulatory needs, customer requirements, and business priorities while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and driving timely production releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years in Product Ownership/PM or related tech role.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, or business rules.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices across the lifecycle.
• Experience partnering with software development and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and refine the product backlog.
• Translate strategy and customer needs into actionable work for dev teams.
• Prioritize work based on value, impact, and dependencies.
• Ensure items are defined, sequenced, and development-ready.
• Exercise independent judgment on daily priorities.
• Ensure teams understand priorities and rationale.
• Translate needs into user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, edge cases, and conflicts early.
• Break initiatives into manageable work and document clearly.
• Serve as product rep in Agile ceremonies and with QA.
• Clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities with stakeholders.
• Coordinate release planning and post-release feedback.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Exacta’s HHR products and environments.
