Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Product Owner for a Databricks migration and data-platform modernization in Atlanta. The hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 in-office days per week and oversees business prioritization, requirements management, backlog ownership, and delivery coordination for a large-scale data migration project.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in product ownership or data transformation, strong Databricks, Lakehouse, governance, and security knowledge, and the ability to engage stakeholders

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, Data & Analytics delivery, or enterprise technology transformation.
• 4+ years as a Product Owner, Senior BA, or PM on enterprise tech or data-platform programs.
• 4+ years supporting data migration, cloud modernization, or data-platform transformation initiatives.
• 4+ years with Databricks, Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Spark, Medallion Architecture.
• 4+ years with Unity Catalog, metadata, lineage, access governance, data ownership, and classification.
• 4+ years managing requirements and migration backlogs using Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or equivalent tools.
• 4+ years with Agile/Scrum/SAFe delivery and backlog management.
• 4+ years with data migration concepts including source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, waves, cutover, and decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap, backlog, priorities, and delivery for Databricks migration and data-platform modernization.
• Lead requirements and discovery sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Translate migration objectives into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
• Prioritize migration workloads based on business value, readiness, dependencies, risk, and complexity.
• Coordinate migration activities across assessment, development, testing, cutover, and decommissioning.
• Ensure requirements align with Databricks architecture, governance, and data-quality standards.
• Coordinate source-to-target validation, UAT, business acceptance, and production cutover.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, demos, and stakeholder reviews.
• Track migration progress, risks, dependencies, and KPIs with executive reporting.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, governance teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive outcomes.
