Overview:

We are seeking a skilled resource with business analysis skills to become the functional expert/product owner of the US Dept of Agriculture’s Food Programs Reporting System (FPRS). This system is used to track Farm to School Grantees within the Patrick Leahy Farm To School Grant Program. The FPRS system is undergoing a modernization / move to the cloud from a current .Net on premise architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering:
2. Analyze all existing documentation and fill in gap areas by collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document undocumented business requirements.
3. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs and pain points.
4. Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
5. Create detailed process maps and workflows to visualize business operations.
6. Design functional specifications that align with business requirements and technical capabilities.
7. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the feasibility and clarity of proposed solutions.
8. Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams.
9. Communicate project status, updates, and changes to stakeholders effectively.
10. Develop test cases and test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
11. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for final adjustments.
12. Provide training sessions and materials to end-users on new systems or processes.
13. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance post-implementation.
14. Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and user guides.
15. Ensure all documentation is updated and accessible for future reference.
16. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation as needed.
17. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to recommend enhancements.
18. Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team skills and knowledge.
