Job description

TechLabs London is an exponentially growing technology firm, a Premium Microsoft Partner, and the team behind iProperty Cloud, a complete Housing Management Solution (HMS) built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM and the Power Platform.

Due to exponential growth and our focus on a sustainable implementation model, we are looking to expand our team by bringing in a Junior Business Analyst to drive the creation and continuous development of user stories and content for our core products.

The Junior Business Analyst role

To be successful in this role you will have some prior business analyst experience, and/or be working in the housing sector looking to take a step into technology and consultancy. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders such as our product team, delivery consultants, senior business analysts and our fantastic development team. Your focus will be on understanding, defining and documenting complex product features, functionalities and business processes to create content that allows new joiners or external clients, to embrace our solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, coordinating, and delivering internal stakeholder-facing workshops, capturing product knowledge, and functionality, and defining business processes.
  • Designing materials that explain business processes and how the product works; including using Azure DevOps, digital adoption tools, and creating (as-is) flows or supporting content.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to monitor changes in the core product, enhancing and improving user stories, documentation, and content.
  • Pro-actively raising issues, bugs, or pain points in the product as they are observed, supporting a company-wide focus on high-quality product development standards.
  • Clearly conveying well-defined content to delivery teams and effectively communicating business processes to ensure successful business outcomes for our team and clients.
  • Managing user story and content creation throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring effective control of draft and published content for current, future or deprecated features.
  • Supporting the demonstration of new features and functionality to new starters and assisting the product team in creating high-level digital summary content.
  • Learning, understanding and working with Microsoft Power Platform / Dynamics 365, and our custom-built solution iProperty Cloud.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the Social Housing or Property Management sectors.
  • Previous exposure to business analysis, including creating user stories and documenting business processes.
  • Excellent IT skills with a desire to learn new technologies, products, and delivery approaches, and work with world-class, cutting-edge technologies.
  • Well organised with an attention to detail to ‘sweat the small stuff’ ensuring high standards.
  • Able to plan, prepare, and run workshops that deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Pro-active at managing expectations with an engaging communication style.
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport with stakeholders from different backgrounds.
  • Ability to take initiative, learn from experiences, and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform / Dynamics 365 is desirable, but not essential.
