Product Owner - Automation and Intelligence

More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking a passionate and results-driven Product Owner to lead and manage a portfolio of technology-enabled continuous improvement initiatives in support of our internal operations and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This role will focus on delivering impactful process improvements through the application of UiPath automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. As a key member of our team, you will manage product development workflows in Jira, champion continuous improvement processes, and help operationalize solutions that drive measurable value. Your work will align with Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies to ensure disciplined, data-driven progress across initiatives.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Serve as the Product Owner for intelligent automation and AI/ML-enabled improvement initiatives.
•Manage and prioritize the product backlog using Jira; write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
•Support the implementation of improvements using UiPath, AI, and ML tools by working closely with solution architects, developers, and stakeholders.
•Collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for process improvement.
•Facilitate the progression of improvement efforts through the DMAIC lifecycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).
•Monitor and report on the value delivered by process improvements, helping teams track impact over time.
•Maintain and improve a continuous improvement framework that supports a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
•Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
•Participate in change management and adoption efforts to ensure sustainable integration of improvements.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires B.S. Degree and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2–6 years of prior relevant experience. (e.g., Engineering, Business, Information Systems).
•4+ years of combined experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role with Agile teams.
•U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance, is required.
•Experience managing work in Jira and familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
•Understanding of UiPath capabilities and the application of AI/ML techniques in process automation.
•Proven experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement.
•Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
•UiPath certification or experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
•Experience working in or supporting government or defense sector clients.
•Familiarity with process mining or task mining technologies.
•Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
