Job summary

GAINSCO seeks a Product Owner, Automation & Innovation to transform how work is done across the organization. You will build and manage a roadmap of transformation opportunities, lead experiments, and move ideas from discovery through pilots to scalable implementation.

The role partners with operational, customer-facing, and technology teams to deliver AI, intelligent automation, digital workflows, and decision-support solutions while ensuring governance, security, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, Insurance, or related field.
• 5+ years in Product Management/Ownership/Customer Experience/Business Analysis.
• 3+ years in Property & Casualty insurance, preferably non-standard auto.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and working with technical teams throughout product lifecycle.
• Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and managing backlogs.
• Strong understanding of auto insurance operations incl. underwriting, billing, policy administration, and regulations.
• Experience using data analytics to identify opportunities and measure outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prioritize a roadmap of AI, automation, and process transformation opportunities.
• Partner with business leaders to define measurable outcomes and build business cases.
• Lead discovery workshops, design-thinking sessions, pilots, and MVPs.
• Deliver generative AI, intelligent automation, digital workflow, document intelligence, self-service, and decision-support solutions.
• Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and adoption plans.
• Monitor adoption, impact, and value realization while supporting governance and responsible AI practices.
• Build cross-functional alignment and champion innovation and continuous improvement.
