We’re partnering with an established organization that is continuing to build out its Product function and is looking for an experienced Product Owner to support products focused on risk insights, proactive guidance, and customer education.
This person will work closely with a Product Manager focused on education and engagement to help turn specialized knowledge into useful customer experiences. While the PM guides product strategy and engagement priorities, this role will translate those priorities into clear requirements, an actionable backlog, and coordinated delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Translate product priorities into deliverable capabilities that help customers access relevant insights and practical guidance.
- Partner closely with the Product Manager to connect delivery decisions with broader education, engagement, and adoption goals.
- Create user stories, detailed requirements, and testable acceptance criteria that give technical teams a clear understanding of the intended outcome.
- Work with business experts and stakeholders to understand the information, workflows, and rules behind customer-facing guidance.
- Maintain a prioritized backlog, clarify scope, and help teams navigate changing needs and delivery trade-offs.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and business teams to resolve questions, address blockers, and manage dependencies.
- Review proposed solutions to ensure they meet customer needs and support the intended product experience.
- Work alongside QA to plan testing, validate functionality, and prepare capabilities for release.
- Communicate delivery progress, risks, and decisions so stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
- Bring customer feedback and implementation learnings into ongoing product discussions and backlog improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 5–7 years of progressive experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a combination of both.
- Experience translating complex business needs into requirements that technical teams can build, test, and release.
- Strong skills in backlog prioritization, user-story development, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications across development, testing, and launch.
- Ability to understand complex information, business processes, and system interactions and turn them into clear delivery requirements.
- Strong facilitation skills, including gathering input from different stakeholders and resolving competing needs.
- Experience partnering with Product Managers, developers, designers, QA, and business teams in an Agile environment.
- Clear communication with technical and nontechnical audiences, including explaining scope, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to solving problems and keeping delivery moving.
