Prometric is seeking a Product Owner to bridge education and AI innovation remotely. You will translate educator and certification needs into prioritized backlogs and drive features with engineering and AI teams, shaping the roadmap and delivering value.

You’ll engage with stakeholders to align on outcomes and future releases. You will work closely with the Product Manager to learn from users and experts, turning insights into tangible AI-powered capabilities that improve assessment and learning

Competenze

• 2+ years as Product Owner or Business/Product Analyst.
• Hands-on use of AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude.
• Experience with SAFe or another scaled Agile framework.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

• Partner day to day with the engineering and AI science teams to deliver features in lean, iterative increments.

Job Overview

Help bring AI to education and certification. Our team exists to deliver AI-centered features for the education and certification industry. As Product Owner, you'll lead and organize that work, turning product vision into a clear, prioritized backlog the engineering team can deliver with confidence.

You’ll sit between two groups of experts. On one side are the subject matter experts, educators and certification bodies who understand learning and assessment deeply. On the other are the AI engineers and scientists working with a technology that changes month to month. You won’t need to be an expert in either; your job is to learn quickly from both, ask the right questions, and make sure each side understands what the other needs, so that real-world problems become features the team can build.

You won’t just execute the vision; you’ll help shape it. Working closely with the Product Manager, you’ll bring what you learn from users, experts and the delivery team to the roadmap for your area.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Criteria

• 2+ years as a Product Owner or Business/Product Analyst owning a backlog in an Agile team, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Regular hands-on use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, and curiosity about applying AI to real problems.
• Experience working within SAFe or another scaled Agile framework.
• Comfortable with Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence, with a working understanding of software development.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in education, assessment or certification, or working closely with subject matter experts in another specialist field.
• Experience with product discovery or user research.
• Experience delivering AI/ML-powered product features.
• SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) certification.
