Job summary

LABUR is seeking a Product Owner to bridge business vision, user experience, and technology, driving delivery of products and capabilities. You will support the scrum team, manage backlog items, and optimize product value across the organization, leading the product development team toward the organizational vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-3+ years of industry, IT, or software project management experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Superb communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of products, operating processes, and supporting systems.
• Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle complex business situations; represent the organization with external partners and internal personnel.

Responsibilities

• Work with Portfolio Managers, SMEs, and customers to co-develop product roadmaps and drive features from concept to launch.
• Collaborate with analytics, design/UX, engineering, and user enablement to align on product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
• Operate in an Agile environment, refine priorities, outline milestones, and identify opportunities and risks.
• Turn roadmaps into well-defined requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing stakeholder requirements.
• Oversee the product design process leveraging business analysis, product management, and Agile practices.
• Create and execute go-live plans with product management, marketing, and business units.
• Provide guidance to Business Analysts and Agile team members.

This person will support the scrum team, manage backlog items, and optimize the value of products across the organization. Leading the product development team toward achieving the organizational vision and mission is central to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Portfolio Managers, SMEs, and customers to co-develop product roadmaps and drive features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including analytics, design/UX, engineering, and user enablement—to align on product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
• Operate in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones, and identifying opportunities and risks.
• Turn product roadmap features into well-defined requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize and maintain the team increment and sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing stakeholder requirements.
• Oversee the product functional design process based on deep knowledge of users and technology, leveraging business analysis, product management, and Agile best practices.
• Create and execute go-live plans, ensuring product management, marketing, and business units have what they need to succeed.
• Provide project-related guidance to Business Analysts and Agile team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline with 2-3+ years of industry, IT, or software project management experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Superb communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of products, operating processes, and supporting systems.
• Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen paired with strong leadership and management skills.

Compensation

$70,000-$85,000 per year - Dependent on fit and experience.
