Technical Product Owner – Mobile Analytics

About the Role
The Technical Product Owner defines and executes the mobile app analytics roadmap across iOS and Android. This role acts as the primary link between business stakeholders, product teams, engineering, and architecture. You will convert business requirements into technical analytics specifications, oversee tracking implementations, validate data accuracy, and manage the product backlog.
Key Responsibilities
- Roadmap & Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the mobile app analytics backlog and roadmap for iOS and Android. Balance technical debt, scalability, and business value.
- Requirements & User Stories: Partner with business and product teams to capture measurement needs. Translate these into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, event tracking requirements, and KPIs.
- Implementation & Architecture: Guide iOS and Android engineering teams on data collection design using Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, and Celebrus. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Collaborate with experimentation teams to define test hypotheses and success metrics. Instrument and validate A/B test tracking, variant exposure, and conversion outcomes.
- Data Quality & QA: Perform pre-launch and post-launch data validation across user paths. Use network debugging tools to analyze traffic, fix tracking defects, and resolve reporting inconsistencies.
- Insights & Reporting: Build dashboards and visualizations using Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, and Celebrus to analyze customer funnels, feature adoption, and friction points.
- Governance & Documentation: Maintain detailed solution design reference documents, data dictionaries, and tracking specifications. Establish standards for event naming, data quality, and privacy compliance.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate decision-making, remove engineering roadblocks, and communicate implementation status, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience supporting mobile app analytics, data collection, or digital measurement on iOS and Android.
- Product Ownership: Experience working in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management.
- Analytics Platforms: Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics or a similar digital analytics platform.
- Technical Skills: Experience gathering requirements and turning them into technical analytics specs or user stories. Understanding of native mobile app release cycles.
- Testing & Validation: Understanding of A/B testing concepts, success metrics, and data validation techniques.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in a quantitative or technical field.
- Tools & SDKs: Hands-on experience with Quantum Metric, Celebrus, Qualtrics, Adobe Target, or the Adobe Experience Platform Mobile SDK.
- Debugging Tools: Experience using network traffic inspection tools, including Charles Proxy or Proxyman, to conduct analytics QA.
- Data Concepts: Familiarity with SQL, JSON, APIs, data layers, or analytics data pipelines.
- Privacy: Knowledge of mobile analytics privacy rules, consent frameworks, and data governance.
