Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Product Ownership experience (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Competence in identifying key metrics and interpreting trends and results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop feasible product solutions.
  • Create and prioritize product backlog items, such as user stories and bugs.
  • Act as the main interface with the scrum team, guiding them on product backlog items.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and conduct UAT sessions, gathering and integrating user feedback.

Job description

At Sinclair, we are looking for a Product Owner who is passionate about building software products that users love. This role is at the heart of our product development team, focusing on delivering impactful outcomes, solving real user problems, and continuously learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.

This role is assigned to our Integrations & Platforms team, connecting critical systems through Boomi connectors, API, and maintaining/enhancing mission critical platforms that support ITIL, HR, Finance, and other areas of the business.

Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Comfortability with low/no-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (or similar) ITIL platform.
  • Familiarity with REST API protocols.
  • Familiarity with Boomi (or similar) integration platform as a service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of Product Ownership experience (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Must be extremely comfortable using and troubleshooting intricate software.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively about complex problems.
  • A proactive and positive attitude in addressing challenges and opportunities.
  • High adaptability and flexibility, including deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
  • Sincere curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead without authority.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies.
  • Ability to create world-class requirements documentation (agile stories, PRDs, etc.)

Responsibilities
  • User Discovery and Requirements Gathering:
    • Conduct user research to understand their needs and challenges.
    • Translate user insights into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Solution Development:
    • Collaborate with technical teams to develop feasible product solutions.
    • Participate in brainstorming and design sessions.
  • Backlog Management:
    • Create and prioritize product backlog items, such as user stories and bugs.
    • Maintain a clear, transparent, and accessible backlog for all stakeholders.
  • Scrum Team Liaison:
    • Act as the main interface with the scrum team, guiding them on product backlog items.
    • Participate in scrum ceremonies and provide necessary clarifications.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of your assigned product areas.
    • Serve as a go‑to resource for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Product Artifacts:
    • Develop and maintain essential product documentation, including Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and clearly communicates product vision and requirements.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
    • Organize and conduct UAT sessions, gathering and integrating user feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned

The base salary compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $122,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full‑time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
