Job description

Cync is a fintech company building the AI-centered future of commercial lending. Banks, credit unions, and specialty finance institutions run their lending operations on Cync — from origination through servicing and portfolio monitoring — because it helps them lend smarter, faster, and with more confidence. At the center of that is Cync Agents, our agentic AI core, built to bring real value to customers by taking work off their desks so they can focus on lending.

Cync is scaling aggressively — expanding into new lending verticals, deepening Cync Agents across origination, underwriting, and monitoring, and winning market share from legacy point solutions and larger incumbents. This is a builder's marketing role at a company with real product depth and real momentum in the market.

Position Summary

We are hiring a Product Marketing Specialist to be the driving force behind how Cync is positioned, differentiated, and sold in the commercial lending SaaS market. This is not a generalist marketing role — it is a focused, high-impact mandate to sharpen Cync's go-to-market (GTM) story across the Cync Suite — Cync ABL, Cync Agents, Cync LOS, Loan Servicing, Spreading, Portfolio Management, Cync Advanced Analytics, BBC, Floor Plan, and CRE — and translate deep product capability into messaging that wins deals.

You will work directly with product leadership, sales, and executive leadership to build the positioning, competitive narrative, and content that fuels Cync's pipeline — from RFP responses and analyst conversations to webinars, campaigns, and industry events. We need someone who thinks like a product marketer and moves like a founder: fast, sharp, and relentlessly focused on market share.

This is an in-office position based at our Herndon, VA headquarters. Close, in-person collaboration with product, sales, and executive leadership is core to how this role operates.

More than a specific resume line, we're looking for someone genuinely motivated to make a difference — someone who wants a seat at the table at a growing fintech company, not just a seat in the department. If you're energized by building something real and want your work to visibly move the needle on growth, this role gives you that.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously sharpen Cync's product positioning and competitive messaging across the Cync Suite — Cync ABL, Cync Agents, Cync LOS, Loan Servicing, Spreading, Portfolio Management, Cync Advanced Analytics, BBC/collateral monitoring, floor plan financing, and CRE lending — translating technical depth into a clear, aggressive market narrative.
  • Build the GTM toolkit for each product line: pitch decks, solution briefs, one-pagers, battlecards, ROI/value messaging, and RFP-ready content that sales can deploy immediately.
  • Lead competitive intelligence — track competing lending platforms and legacy point solutions, and arm sales with sharp, factual positioning that wins head-to-head evaluations.
  • Partner closely with product management to stay ahead of the roadmap — including Cync Agents and Cync's broader agentic AI capabilities across origination, underwriting, and monitoring — and translate new features into market-ready launch narratives.
  • Develop customer success stories, case studies, and reference content with Cync's bank and credit union customers to build market credibility and proof points.
  • Plan and drive product webinars and demand-generation campaigns — including LinkedIn and digital campaigns, short-form video, and thought‑leadership content — that build pipeline for Cync.
  • Represent Cync at trade shows, industry conferences (e.g., commercial lending, banking technology, and fintech events), and customer/partner events — owning booth messaging and prospect engagement.
  • Support active RFP and new‑logo pursuits with positioning input and competitive content, working alongside sales on strategic opportunities.
  • Measure and report on campaign, webinar, and content performance, and continuously refine messaging based on what actually moves deals forward.
  • Ensure all Cync‑facing marketing assets are consistent, sharp, and aligned to a single aggressive market narrative — no diluted or generic messaging.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in product marketing, B2B marketing, or content marketing — ideally for a SaaS or enterprise software product.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills — able to turn complex lending/technology concepts into clear, compelling, buyer-focused content.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positioning and messaging for a technology product, not just execute campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with product, sales, and executive leadership.
  • A genuine drive to make an impact — someone who wants ownership and visibility at a growing fintech company, not just a task list.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience in commercial lending technology — origination, loan management, ABL, factoring, CRE lending, floor plan financing, or banking/fintech more broadly — this is a major advantage given the technical depth of Cync's products.
  • Experience marketing a SaaS platform in financial services, with an understanding, of how banks and, credit unions evaluate and buy technology.
  • Experience building competitive battlecards and RFP content in a competitive B2B sales cycle.
  • Experience hosting webinars and driving trade show/conference presence.
  • Proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and familiarity with AI‑assisted content creation tools.

Why This Role Matters

Cync has the product depth to win across the full commercial lending lifecycle — this role exists to make sure the market knows it. You will have direct visibility with executive leadership, real ownership over how Cync is positioned against competitors, and the opportunity to shape the GTM strategy for a company actively expanding into new lending verticals and agentic AI-powered lending workflows. This is a rare chance to get in early at a growing fintech company and have your fingerprints on how it wins its market — not a seat in a big machine, but a seat at the table. If you want a product marketing role with real stakes and real impact on revenue — this is it.
