Job description

About interface.ai:

interface.ai is the agentic AI platform for financial services — bringing conversational and agentic AI to the credit unions and community banks that serve everyday Americans. We're not a lab, we're not a demo company, and we're not burning runway on hypotheticals. We are in production, generating real revenue, and on a mission that matters: making intelligent financial services available to the millions of people who've never had a private banker.

More than 100 banks and credit unions run on interface.ai, reaching over 10 million people. Many products are live today; the biggest bets — an AI-first contact center and an AI-native consumer banking experience — are what comes next. Backed by $30M in Series A funding and already cash-flow positive, we're at the inflection point: a proven product, paying customers, and a profitable business rebuilding itself as an AI-native company to lead a world where agents, not software, do the work.

Role Overview:

We're rebuilding interface.ai as an AI-native company — and marketing has to make the market understand what that means before our competitors get a chance to define it for us.

As Head of Marketing, you own the whole function: positioning, product marketing, demand generation, content, events, analyst relations, and brand. But the center of gravity is product marketing. We are selling a category that did not exist three years ago, to buyers who are being pitched "AI" by every vendor in their inbox. The job is to make interface.ai unmistakable — to turn a genuinely differentiated agentic platform into a story a credit union CEO repeats to their board.

This is not a caretaker role for a big team. The team is small and you will build it. We care far more about the caliber of your product marketing than the size of the org you last managed — if you're a Director of Product Marketing at a Series A–D AI company who is ready to run the whole function, you are exactly who we're looking for.

You'll work directly with Srinivas Njay (Founder & CEO), who is hands-on daily across product and go-to-market, and you'll sit at the table where pricing, packaging, and roadmap decisions get made. What you learn in the market will shape what we build — in days, not quarters.

What You’ll Own:
  • The category story. Positioning and messaging for interface.ai and every product line.

  • Product marketing. GTM strategy from positioning through launch, enablement, and adoption. Launch plans, buyer personas, competitive intelligence, win/loss, pricing and packaging input, and the technical content that proves the claim — solution briefs, ROI models, reference architectures, demos.

  • Sales enablement that holds up in the room. Sales plays, battlecards, objection handling, and ICP fluency that raise win rates and deal size. You'll measure your work by what closes, not by what ships.

  • Pipeline. Demand generation and ABM across every channel that reaches credit union and community bank decision-makers — with a number you own alongside Sales, not adjacent to it.

  • The field presence. Our events program, webinars, customer forums, and analyst relations. You'll be on stage and in briefings representing what we've built.

  • The team. Hire, coach, and retain a small, senior, high-leverage marketing team. Build the function and the operating cadence from where it is today to where a $100M+ ARR company needs it.

  • The measurement. Establish the metrics that matter — pipeline contribution, CAC, win rate, launch adoption, share of voice — and run the function on them.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 8+ years in B2B marketing, with deep product marketing ownership. Director of Product Marketing (or above) today, or an exceptional Senior Manager ready to step up. Title matters less to us than what you actually built.

  • You did the PMM work yourself. Positioning, messaging, launches, competitive intelligence, pricing and packaging, analyst relations, enablement — hands-on, not delegated.

  • You’ve done it at a startup that was scaling. Ideally Series A through Series D during your tenure, at a conversational AI, voice AI, agentic AI, or CX-automation company. You know what it's like to market a product that's changing under you.

  • Category-creation instincts. You've taken something genuinely new to market and made buyers care — or been the first PMM hire and built the function from nothing.

  • A writer. You can turn a hard technical capability into a sentence a non-technical executive remembers. This is the single most important skill in this role.

  • Comfort in complexity. Regulated industries, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals, and executive engagement at the C-suite of financial institutions.

  • AI-native by habit. You use generative AI tools daily to move faster and think sharper, and you expect your team to do the same. We use Claude a lot here!

  • Self-directed and decisive. You identify problems before they're assigned, propose solutions before they're requested, and close loops without reminders.

  • On-site in our downtown San Francisco office 5 days a week. We provide commuter benefits if you're in the general Bay Area.

Bonus/Nice To Have:
  • Experience marketing AI-powered technologies, virtual assistants, or customer experience platforms

  • Experience marketing into credit unions, community banks, or financial services more broadly

  • You’ve been the first or second marketing hire and built the function through the growth stage

  • Public speaking track record at industry events, webinars, or analyst briefings

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)
  • Positioning and messaging for the full platform is live, adopted by Sales, and showing up verbatim in customer conversations.

  • Launch our biggest bets on time and to target adoption.

  • A competitive intelligence practice that ships quarterly landscape briefs and battle cards Sales actually uses.

  • A measurable, attributable marketing pipeline contribution agreed with the VP of Sales.

  • The first two hires on your team made, onboarded, and producing.

Benefits

100% paid health, dental & vision care 401(k) & financial wellness perks Daily meals on us Commuter benefit Monthly wellness stipend Claude Enterprise + frontier AI tools for every employee — build with the best Brand-new 21st-floor SF office at 44 Montgomery — floor-to-ceiling views, worth showing up to Discretionary PTO + paid parental leave Mental health, wellness & family benefits A mission-driven team shaping the future of banking.

Why interface.ai:

Series A · $30M raised · Cash-flow positive — we're not burning cash hoping the product works. It works. Customers are live, revenue is real, and the mission is one you can explain to your family without a slide deck.

Most marketing leaders inherit a story someone else wrote. Here, the story is still being written, and you're the one holding the pen. You'll partner closely with Srinivas Njay (CEO), who is hands-on daily across product and go-to-market, and with Sales and Product as a peer — not as a service function downstream of them. When you learn something in the market, it changes the roadmap and the pricing, and it changes them quickly.

Founding-team-tier equity, top-of-market base, comprehensive benefits, and a modern San Francisco office worth showing up to. The team is small enough that your judgment shapes everything, and the market is large enough that the brand you build will outlast the quarter you build it in.

interface.ai is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
