The Job

We're seeking a Contract Product Marketing Manager for a three-month engagement to lead market research for our Residential business line. This role partners closely with our Residential Product Lead and offers the potential to convert into a full-time Product Marketing Manager role in our Commercial business line, depending on mutual fit and business needs. The full-time Commercial Product Marketing Manager role will be responsible for market and customer insights, GTM enablement and content development, and client experience.

The contract position reports to the Director of Product Marketing and will work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing to ensure alignment on market research business objectives and research goals, study methodology, and study execution. You will lead the research synthesis and results that outline the key challenges, insights, and opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Research Design
  • Align with cross-functional leadership on business objectives and research goals
  • Identify target companies and personas; conduct outreach and schedule interviews
  • Determine methodology and create discussion guides or supporting materials
  • Conducting the Study Lead interviews as the primary moderator, following the consistent methodology and asking informed follow-up questions
  • Capture interview highlights and emerging themes using synthesis tools
  • Research Synthesis
  • Analyze findings to identify key challenges, customer insights, and business opportunities
  • Present insights to company and Residential leadership teams

Experience You’ll Need

  • 5+ years in Product Marketing with experience conducting market research
  • 3+ years in the solar, renewables, or energy sector


Experience That's a Plus

  • Experience in both B2B enterprise clients and direct-to-consumer environments
  • Familiarity working with financial institutions and tax equity investors
