Job summary

Veeco is seeking a Product Marketing Engineer to join our technical marketing team at St. Paul, MN. You will translate customer requirements into buildable systems that meet business guidelines and goals, collaborating with sales, marketing, and applications engineers.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking in a matrix organization, and travel up to 25%. You will develop product quotes, marketing collateral, and tender responses, and craft regional strategies to grow sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree is required.
• Semiconductor capital equipment, metrology, instrumentation, or related electromechanical systems experience is a plus, especially thin-film deposition (ALD, MBE, MOCVD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with a matrix team to understand customer requirements to best design and configure products to meet customer needs.
• Lead product line-related sales activities including configuration development, custom product/feature requests, product quotes, cost, and pricing recommendations.
• Create product quotes, marketing collateral, and tender responses that thoroughly articulate product differentiation and value.
• Support customer engagements including direct communication (in-person and virtual) to drive business.
• Develop relationships with customers, sales, and service to promote the MBE product line.
• Craft regional strategies to promote the product line and grow sales.
• Achieve booking and margin targets for assigned regions.

Overview:

Veeco is looking for a Product Marketing Engineer to join our technical marketing team at our St. Paul, MN, location. This role works with sales, marketing, and application engineers to translate customer requirements into buildable systems that meet business guidelines and goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for closing hardware and process specifications as well as reviewing system pricing for new system opportunities. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and coordination with personnel from other functional areas. This role will report to our Senior Director of Marketing.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, system block diagrams, electrical schematics, engineering specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Ability to travel globally up to 25% as required.
