Our client is seeking aProduct Manager to develop and execute strategies and plans to drive success for the company and its steel structure services portfolio. The Product Manager oversees research, engineering, and technical development for bringing new products and services to market while maintaining existing services.
Location - remote in US
- Generate and evaluate ideas for new products and services that align with company goals.
- Evaluate products and services to ensure a viable business case exists. Perform market analysis to ensure revenue targets are achievable.
- Develop business plans and convey the strategy and positioning for products and services.
- Collaborate with others to create training and implementation plans. Ensure successful development and integration of products and services into the business.
- Work with Engineering to create technical specifications and with the Business Development, Operations and Contracts teams to implement product specifications.
- Develop and train the organization to effectively sell and deliver products and services. Create documentation to ensure consistent and effective training practices.
- Assist in developing project proposals and pricing models.
- Oversee commercialization and rollout of new products or services.
- Provide expertise on assigned products and services.
- Attend industry events and trade groups and deliver presentations that support product and service strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSCE degree (civil, structural, or mechanical) with solid/strong business and technical acumen. MBA preferred.
- About 3-5 years of experience in product management with experience successfully launching products/services.
- Familiarity with the electric and/or telecom utility space is desired.
- Must be able to speak effectively in front of groups and communicate effectively to industry executives.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including business development, operations, and contract teams.
- Some exposure to design software tools, modeling (infinite element analysis)
- Willingness to travel occasionally
