Job summary

Loft is building space-enabled services and onboard AI ecosystems. We seek a Product Manager to own a major perimeter, coordinating with engineers, BD, and executives to translate what is technically possible into concrete requirements and a compelling roadmap.

You will surface ideas from engineering, define success metrics, and drive cross-functional delivery. You will engage with customers and platform partners, track market trends, and advocate for data-driven decisions while maintaining

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience, including hands-on product management.
• Domain experience in earth observation, embedded systems, aerospace systems, or security/defense.
• Comfort at both market and technology ends of the spectrum.
• Structured and data-driven with evidenced recommendations.
• Product obsession and strong market-vision mindset.
• Relentless curiosity across satellites, onboard AI, and defense considerations.
• High autonomy and bias for action in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with hardware and software development lifecycles.
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel to Loft offices and customers.

Responsibilities

• Understand what is possible and turn it into requirements for engineering.
• Translate strategy into clear requirements and use cases with Jira tickets.
• Surface good ideas from engineering and connect to a product rationale.
• Define success criteria and verify through delivery.
• Maintain an accurate view of Loft's capabilities and gaps.
• Run customer discovery interviews and engage with platform partners.
• Track market trends and competitive moves relevant to Loft.
• Own the roadmap for your perimeter and justify decisions with data.
• Build analyses and business cases to support recommendations.
• Negotiate scope and re-plan with engineering leadership as needed.
• Communicate progress to engineering, program leadership, and executives.
