Job summary

Waymo is hiring a Product Manager to shape the roadmap for driving behavior as Waymo expands into new cities. You will leverage AI/ML and planning tech to scale the Waymo Driver across domestic markets and hardware platforms.

You will collaborate with PMs and cross-functional teams to define long-term priorities, analyze real-world data, and guide trade-offs between capability and engineering effort. This role centralizes impact across the product and safety teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–8 years of relevant product management experience.
• Ability to gather and dissect large quantities of information and translate into product vision and strategy.
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadmap and determine product requirements for driving behavior as Waymo expands to new cities.
• Work on AI/ML and Planning technologies enabling Waymo’s Driver to scale across markets and platforms.
• Collaborate with PMs and cross-functional teams to identify long-term focus areas and steer efforts.
• Investigate data from real-world miles; guide trade-offs between capability and complexity.
• Align with Product, Operations, System Engineering, and other Waymo teams to bring life-saving products to market.
