Job summary

SAS is seeking a Product Manager for SAS Languages in a hybrid role in Cary, NC. You will drive product strategy across the SAS platform for the SAS Programming Language and associated libraries, including cloud object storage capabilities.

You’ll collaborate with engineering to craft a scalable roadmap, define requirements, and align cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. Strong communication and analytics—essential for success in this high-impact role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management or software engineering related to data management, decision management, or AI/analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, CS or related quantitative field.
• Familiarity with data management, SQL, and cloud object storage technologies.
• Knowledge of open-source runtimes/packages (Python or R).
• Understanding SaaS/PaaS business models and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shape strategic direction for SAS Languages data management capabilities.
• Define and maintain product roadmaps, priorities and OKRs; communicate risks and updates.
• Lead requirements definition and prioritization based on customer and market input.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Design, and PM teams to deliver outcomes.
• Define success metrics, conduct post-launch analysis, and build business cases.
