Job summary

SpotOn in Austin is seeking an experienced Product Manager who loves bars and restaurants, builds innovative software, and shapes tools for 15 million people in the restaurant space. This role partners with RnD leadership to set strategy, define roadmaps, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and GTM teams to shape the future of running successful shifts in a restaurant.

You will own the product strategy for SpotOn restaurant software, manage the roadmap, and balance

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management experience, preferably with restaurant or hospitality software.
• Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and delivering quality products.
• Metrics-driven approach using data to inform decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects iteratively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Empathy for customers to understand their needs and product interaction.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, chaos, and competing priorities.

Product Manager - Restaurant Operations

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about bars & restaurants, building innovative products, and impacting the 15 million people who live and work in the restaurant space. This Product Manager will work closely with RnD leadership to create strategy, define roadmaps, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and GTM teams to define and build the future of running successful shifts in a restaurant.

You Will

• Be an integral part of defining the product strategy for SpotOn restaurant software suite
• Manage the product roadmap, making strategic adjustments as needed based on client needs, data, and business priority.
• Be innovative in your approach to product vision and design.
• Work with multiple cross-functional teams to elicit, understand, rationalize, and prioritize requests for new functionality.
• Assess market competition, client preferences, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify what is needed to maintain a competitive advantage and sustained growth.
• Continuously test and leverage insights to inform decisions.
• Build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders to serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as product marketing, on the creation of positioning for your products.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant product management experience or equivalent, preferably with restaurant or hospitality software
• Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience designing and delivering quality products.
• A metrics-driven work style that leverages data to make informed decisions.
• An ability to manage multiple projects in an iterative process.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to put yourself in the customer’s shoes to understand their needs and how they interact with our products.
• Ability to make decisions with imperfect information, know how to lead without authority, and be comfortable managing chaos, ambiguity, and complexity.
• Past restaurant experience, especially working in a restaurant or bar, is a serious plus

Compensation

• Our base pay range starts at $180,000 -$215,000/year for this role
• Please note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock plan
• Offers will be reflective of the candidate’s location and experience.
