Job description

The Product Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating new product introductions, as well as managing and optimizing the product portfolio. This mid-level position involves overseeing complex aspects of product leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring successful integration and launch of new products, analyzing product performance, understanding market trends, and working with teams to meet customer needs and business objectives. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, project management skills, customer-market analysis, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; Fort Mill, SC; Charlotte, NC. Hybrid Work Schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, new hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to product support and NPI processes.
  • Project management abilities, with experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with product management and support tools.
  • Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and ability to provide clear guidance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management and portfolio strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • NPI Support: Support during new product introduction, troubleshoot technical issues, ensure smooth integration.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical resource, resolve escalated issues.
  • Documentation Management: Develop and maintain technical specifications, manuals, and guides.
  • Training and Development: Support training programs for internal teams and customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
  • Product Testing and Validation: Support testing to ensure standards, report issues.
  • Market and Customer Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback for product improvements.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on product launch status and performance.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales, profitability, and market share.
  • Portfolio Management: Track performance, analyze lifecycle stages, recommend adjustments.
  • Project Management: Support launch projects, coordinate tasks.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate product data sheets and related materials.
