Timken Company in Thorofare, NJ is seeking a Product Manager for Plain Bearings to drive growth and competitiveness across the portfolio. You will lead lifecycle management, translate customer needs into requirements, and partner with engineering, sales, and operations to deliver value.

You will shape roadmaps, analyze market trends, manage pricing and profitability, and support new product introductions while aligning with Timken's strategic objectives and global manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in product management, engineering sales, marketing, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial products, bearings, or related engineered products.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong business and commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Experience with product lifecycle management principles.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business analytical tools.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategies aligned with Plain Bearings objectives.
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept to obsolescence.
• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and growth plans.
• Coordinate pricing, positioning, and commercial readiness for launches.
• Partner with Sales and Applications Engineering to support key opportunities and growth.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Sales.
• Support stage-gate and product development processes.
• Define product specifications, value propositions, and customer benefits.
• Ensure offerings align with market demands and strategic initiatives.
