Job summary

Timken is seeking a Product Manager for the Plain Bearings portfolio in Thorofare, NJ. You will drive product strategy, lifecycle management, and profitability, coordinating between customers, sales, engineering, operations, and manufacturing to ensure market-fit products.

You will analyze market trends, develop business cases, support new product development, and lead cross-functional teams to improve revenue and market share, while collaborating with pricing and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in product management, engineering sales, marketing, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial products or bearings.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
• Strong business and commercial acumen; ability to analyze market opportunities and financials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Own full product lifecycle from concept to obsolescence.
• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity.
• Maintain product roadmaps and growth plans.
• Lead pricing, positioning, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate with Sales/Applications to support key opportunities and strategic growth.
• Gather customer needs and translate into product requirements; conduct market research.
