Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Sales Engineer in Mississippi to apply roll service expertise and Valmet’s technology to develop customer solutions. You will tailor presentations, interact with customers to generate solutions, and work with internal teams to define specifications and scopes.

Responsibilities include developing growth targets, reviewing technical drawings, providing training, and supporting pricing and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Sales experience in a manufacturing setting is desired.
• Good understanding of paper machinery.
• Strong knowledge of roll-related products and technologies.
• Ability to translate strategy into meaningful actions.

• Assist sales with troubleshooting roll service items
• Assist with pricing for service and modernizations

• Assist with quotes
• Support Engineering and Inspectors/drafters in applying the latest Valmet technology
• Learn Valmet drawing systems to create drawings as needed
• Develop and maintain strong technical competence in roll technology
• Provide training for internal and external customers
• Travel regionally in the North and nationally or internationally as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Sales experience in a manufacturing setting is desired
• Good understanding of paper machinery
• Strong knowledge of roll-related products and technologies
• Ability to translate strategy into meaningful actions
• Travel is required
• Employment contingent upon a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen
