We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

Raytheon Radio Frequency Components (RFC) semiconductor wafer foundry is responsible for manufacturing the Gallium Nitride (GaN) and Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) MMIC chips that power world class defense systems made by Raytheon. RFC has an opportunity for a Product Manager, responsible for managing a portfolio of chipsets for internal customer programs.

As a Product Manager, you will work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Finance. This will include creating production schedules, managing delivery commitments, contributing to Estimate at Completion budget packages, analyzing variance drivers, and communicating with customer organizations. This role also coordinates closely with the engineering team to monitor product yield, identify risk trends, pursue improvement opportunities, and to analyze the impact on product cost and delivery schedule.

The Product Manager is the primary contact point between the RFC wafer foundry and the internal customer program offices. This includes regular engagements to manage cost, schedule, and quality expectations. In addition to managing existing programs, this Product Manager will also collaborate on estimates and proposals for future work.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate program requirements and manage execution
  • Provide status of program performance, work in progress, delivery commitments, and potential production problems to ensure that program requirements are met
  • Develop and publish quarterly Estimate at Completion financial packages, including variance analysis and identification of risks and opportunities
  • Coordinate activities between numerous cross-functional groups and clearly communicate material status and identified risks
  • Lead proposal teams to develop bid packages and lead the approval process
  • Operate effectively in a results-driven environment
  • Ensure full compliance of company policies and procedures
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Production, Engineering and/or Project/Program/Product Management.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Program / Project management experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage tasks that bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success
  • Knowledge of working across business areas and interface at all levels of organization
  • Ability to multitask; well-organized and work well under pressure
  • Ability to translate functional, tactical actions and decisions into broad business impact.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or other equivalent system).
