Job Summary:

The Product Management team which oversees all Hirschmann branded Industrial Ethernet switches is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager (m/f/d) to manage our various managed Industrial Ethernet switch families. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, definition, and positioning of the assigned portfolio, including the development of collateral materials and documentation, and working closely with the development organization to deliver best-in-class products. The Product Manager also works closely with sales, commercial marketing, and technical support to ensure all customer satisfaction goals are met, while supporting the company's overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the success of our managed switch portfolio by defining and delivering best-in-class embedded software
• Be the 'voice of the product,' championing key attributes and functionality worldwide, fostering trust and understanding
• Develop product strategies and roadmaps based on customer needs, sales justification, business goals, industry trends, competitive and market analysis, critical success factors, issues, risks, etc.
• Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market trends, ensuring our products meet and exceed expectations
• Communicate and coordinate product requirements and plans with Sales, Development, Test, Commercial Marketing, and Technical Support with clear and understood goals, building trust in overcoming challenges
• Participate in industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies and work with MARCOM department to develop marketing collaterals

Required Skills and Experience:

• Completed commercial/electrotechnical/IT education, ideally with a Bachelor's/Master's degree in business and/or engineering/IT
• At least 7 years of experience in communication or automation markets, preferably in support engineering or product management, with a focus on Industrial Ethernet technology
• In-depth technical understanding of network technology, particularly Ethernet deployment in Industrial Automation markets (discrete, process, energy, and transportation automation), as well as familiarity with industrial automation products, including the ability to effectively communicate this knowledge to diverse audiences
• A dynamic team player with exceptional customer focus, resilience, independence, commitment, proactive problem-solving abilities, results-driven mindset, and outstanding communication and presentation skills, especially in challenging situations
• Willingness to travel - Up to 25% predominantly in Europe, and at times overseas
• Language proficiency: Fluency in English (written and spoken) and, ideally, German
