Job summary

Redwood Trust in Irvine, CA is seeking a Product Manager to translate business priorities into a clear backlog for the Business Purpose Lending technology portfolio. You will own product requirements from discovery to release and align business and tech teams on outcomes.

You will work with lending operations, originations, underwriting, asset management, and external partners to ensure backlog quality, measure adoption, and drive value across platforms including Salesforce and finance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Five or more years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, technology delivery, or a closely related role.
• Ability to translate business processes into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile delivery teams through discovery, refinement, development, testing, release, and post-production support.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog reflecting business value and regulatory requirements.
• Lead discovery with business stakeholders to define problem, outcomes, scope, and success criteria.
• Write epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for developers and QA.
• Plan releases by sequencing work, identifying dependencies, and communicating impacts.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, data engineers, and vendors to confirm designs meet requirements.
• Review work during sprints and accept or reject stories against criteria.
