About the Role
Join the product team at an AI-powered industrial design software startup, building demos, prototypes, and user-facing experiences that make advanced 3D model capabilities valuable to engineers and designers. You will combine product management, CAD expertise, and go-to-market experience to shape product direction and support early commercial growth.
What You'll Do
- Build demos, prototypes, and custom workflows that showcase model capabilities for specific prospects, industries, and use cases.
- Work directly with manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and product design customers to understand their workflows and bottlenecks.
- Assess model outputs against practical CAD standards and advise on features and workflows that matter to industrial users.
- Create tools, scripts, and processes for working with CAD data, model outputs, and customer-facing product experiences.
- Translate customer feedback into clear input for research and engineering teams, balancing user needs with technical feasibility.
- Help shape product priorities and roadmap decisions, and represent the product to technical audiences and prospective customers.
- Build go-to-market strategy by defining ideal customer profiles, developing customer pipelines, and closing early commercial deals.
What We're Looking For
- Six to ten years of product management experience in manufacturing, industrial software such as CAD, CAE, or PLM, or aerospace and defense.
- Direct experience selling to manufacturers or other industrial customers, and leading customer-facing product work.
- Experience building or scaling go-to-market strategy, including customer identification, pipeline development, and early deal closing.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM field, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Onshape, or Fusion, and working knowledge of Python and C++.
- Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment and a consistent employment history.
