Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Product Manager, Global Strategic Marketing, MONARCH , to join the MONARCH Platform on the Global Strategic Marketing team. The location for this position is Santa Clara, CA.

The MedTech Surgery organization was recently established to combine our market-leading surgical portfolio with the Robotics & Digital Solutions portfolio.

This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Strategic Marketing, and analyze opportunities to expand and enhance the MONARCH Bronchoscopy product portfolio, driving a consistent discovery and definition process for new hardware and software features, instruments, and indications. The Product Manager will guide cross-functional development teams through the product development process and complete key product management deliverables from initial product concept through market launch and full lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of the Target Product Profile (TPP) and claims for new product development releases.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC), Market Research, and Competitive Market Assessments in support of product development decisions.
  • Develop business cases with supporting market models to drive product decisions and growth projections at launch.
  • Build go-to-market strategies and product launch playbooks for prioritized regions and global markets.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including Platform Marketing, Engineering, PMO, Clinical, Regulatory, Sales, and Healthcare Economics Market Access (HEMA) to develop comprehensive target product profiles and evidence generation strategies to optimize commercial launch efforts.
  • Work with Engineering, Clinical Research, and Marketing teams to identify and recommend clinical performance targets for Monarch Bronchoscopy products.
  • Support New Product Launches by partnering with key team members, functions, and regions to drive successful commercialization into targeted markets using Launch Excellence (LEX) frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Engineering, Professional Education, and Platform Marketing to assist in the development of new procedure workflows, product positioning, messaging, and marketing collateral for commercial launch.
  • Execute on customer engagement strategy, including the planning and management of strategic relationships, consulting agreements, Advisory Board meetings, and VOC activities (calls, webinars, conferences, onsite labs, etc).
  • Support the annual Portfolio Planning process and ongoing Evidence Generation activities.
  • Monitor post-market surveillance data to identify key trends and evaluate the user experience with Monarch products and services.


Qualifications
  • Required: B.A./B.S. in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 + years of progressive business experience in roles that demonstrate increasing responsibility and expertise in relevant areas, such as product management, engineering, marketing, strategy, or product development is required.
  • Prior product management, development, or marketing experience in the medical device industry is required.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication with excellent presentation skills are required.
  • Proven ability to analyze customer needs, VOC, and market data, and then synthesize into clear and compelling product narratives that can be communicated effectively to leadership and development teams is required.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment are required.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, simplify problems of considerable scope and complexity, and effectively prioritize for execution.
  • A hard-working self-starter who prides themself as the product expert and voice of the customer, while working selflessly to advance organization's mission.
  • Prior experience working in Robotics, Pulmonary or Thoracic Surgery is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lung cancer diagnosis and treatment, particularly in bronchoscopy, is highly beneficial.
  • The ability to be based in Santa Clara, CA and travel domestically and globally up to 40% of the time, and work in an operating room environment is required.
