Job summary

Suno is hiring its first Product Manager for the Research organization to partner with ML engineers and researchers, identifying high-impact opportunities to improve models. You will translate user needs into research problems and help guide evaluation-driven product decisions, shaping the future of Suno’s AI music platform.

This is a rare role to inject product judgment into model development, ensuring user-centered improvements that scale across the company and product lines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience or equivalent experience building highly technical products.
• Experience partnering with machine learning researchers, model training teams, or AI evaluation systems.
• Strong technical intuition and ability to engage with complex ML concepts.
• A strong technical foundation, ideally with a CS/engineering/math/physics background.
• Exceptional product judgment and clarity in ambiguous, research-driven problems.
• First-principles thinker curious about frontier AI models and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define what “good” means — Own evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for Suno’s foundational music model and why they matter.
• Connect creator needs to model capabilities — Understand how people create with Suno and translate insights into research problems.
• Bridge product and research — Collaborate with user-facing PMs, engineers, and data scientists to improve evaluations and priorities.
• Shape model priorities in partnership with Research — Bring user insight, data, and business context into roadmap discussions.
• Bring new models and capabilities to market — Work with Research, Product, and Product Marketing to launch model improvements.
• Go deep technically — Run experiments and analyze model behavior alongside researchers.
